The firm was founded by Joseph Antoine Onambele 30 years ago in 1990 - the firm was later joined by Mary Concilia Anchang in 1993 . As founding and managing partners, they have through their dedication and hard work built an international bilingual and bi-jurial law firm, based in Yaoundé Cameroon.
OAA LAW is proud to be first Bijurial and Bilingual Law Firm in the Country practicing in both, Civil Law and Common Law jurisidictions. The firms practice over the years has grown to include coverage of the CEMAC region and globally. OAA Law senior partner Joseph Antoine Onambele has been the Regional Secretary in Africa for International Lawyers Association (UIA Union International des Avocats) and also past president of the International Chamber of Commerce based in Yaoundé Cameroon for three years.
Partner Mary Concilia Anchang was the First African Female lawyer to be appointed as country Court member at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Paris from 2006-2010. She is also the Pioneer IP lawyer accredited with The African Organization of Intellectual property within the 17 members states of French, Spanish and English speaking African nations (OAPI) in 1994 making OAALAW a pioneer law firm in IP LAW, Corporate Law, and Mining Law in the Region. OAALAW is a renaissance law firm.
